Angelo Clareno traducteur d'Athanase d'Alexandrie et de Grégoire de Nysse

PROJECT TRANSMAR “Angelo Clareno (ca. 1260-1337) as a marginal Translator of the Greek Fathers : Circulation of Texts and People in Europe before Humanism” HORIZON-MSCA-2022-PF-01 101105680 The manuscript tradition and specific translation features suggest that the earliest Latin versions of Athanasius of Alexandria’s Letter to Marcellinus and Gregory of Nyssa’s On the Diapsalma are the work of Angelo Clareno. Preserved together in the same three manuscript witnesses, these Latin translations reflect Greek versions of the texts that are specific to exegetical catenae on the Psalms. The data sheet for each translation includes the identification of the Greek text (author, title, CPG number, links to the Greek manuscripts database PINAKES); the list of manuscript witnesses; the Latin title(s), incipit and explicit; the edition, where available. https://journals.openedition.org/oliviana/1675
