Case study: Sometimes small Change is not small
The MAR project at the central hospital faced an immediate failure in implementation, which led to significant disruption. Staff cited complexity, physicians started raising concerns about the safety of the patients, and the result was a system crash that disrupted the entire hospital operation. The new organizational reconstruction and leadership changes contributed to the challenges. As a result, the project was suspended, and they decided to conduct a serious review to determine the next steps to take to resolve this technical problem. Before the incident, there were grievances about MAR from the nurses who felt that they were not fully trained and that there was no technical support during the rollout.
