Security Optimization of Digital Signature Schemes using Advanced Elliptic Curve Cryptography and Hash-Integrated Blockchain Technology
AbstractEnsuring the authenticity, integrity, and confidentiality of data is essential particularly insystems that rely on electronic signature schemes. These mechanisms are central to securedigital communication, yet they remain vulnerable to increasingly sophisticated cyberthreats. Addressing this challenge calls for more resilient cryptographic frameworks. Thisstudy proposes a security enhancement by integrating Advanced Elliptic CurveCryptography (AECC) with Hash-Based Blockchain Technology (HBT). Blockchain’sdecentralized structure and tamper- resistant ledger naturally complement the lightweightand robust properties of ECC. Together, these technologies provide a synergistic solutionfor reinforcing the security posture of digital signatures. Through a thorough analysisof existing digital signature methods, the research identifies key vulnerabilities—including risks of unauthorized modification and lack of transparency. By harnessing theirreversible nature of blockchain and the computational efficiency of AECC, the integratedAECC-HBT model offers a high level of security against fraud, forgery, and systemmanipulation. The proposed architecture facilitates swift, secure authentication processesand supports trust less verification environments essential for decentralized systems.Findings show that AECC-HBT significantly fortifies the reliability of electronic signaturesacross multiple sectors, from finance to governance and healthcare, making it a promisingadvancement in the realm of digital security.
