LEFT OVARIAN TORSION WITH PARAOVARIAN CYST AND ANEMIA: CASE REPORT
This case report discusses a 32-year-old female who presented to the gynecology department with four days of lower abdominal pain and two days of vomiting. Her medical history included two previous lower-segment caesarean sections. Physical examination revealed abdominal distension and tenderness, with laboratory findings indicating anemia and leucocytosis. A computed tomography (CT) scan confirmed the diagnosis of left ovarian torsion with a paraovarian cyst. The patient underwent surgical intervention, including left salpingooophorectomy and right para-ovarian cystectomy, with successful correction of anemia through blood transfusion. Postoperative management included intravenous fluids, antibiotics, and pain management. The patient was discharged on the third postoperative day, indicating a positive recovery outcome.
