ψ⁸ and the Great Attractor: Retention as the Cosmological Principle
This paper presents a fundamental reinterpretation of cosmological structure through the ψ⁸ framework — a field theory of retention and difference. Recasting the Great Attractor not as a hidden mass but as a retentive equilibrium, ψ⁸ replaces gravitation by the stability of distinctions (Δψ) across nodes of coherence (Ξ). The formulation introduces a Lagrangian for the dynamics of retention, defines an effective cosmological constant Λ_eff = 8πG V_min, and predicts extended retentive membranes in regions of large-scale coherent flow. Observational consequences include anomalously low lensing signatures, flow–curvature decoupling, and topological continuity of difference beyond metric collapse. ψ⁸ thus proposes retention — not attraction — as the underlying cosmological principle, reframing Λ as the universe’s intrinsic capacity to hold form and coherence. The work combines formal field theory, topological geometry, and falsifiable observational predictions, offering a new foundation for post-mass cosmology.
