Karunasiri_Exploring_Entanglement_Density_Mass_Scales_QFT
This work investigates whether physical mass scales imprint detectable signatures on vacuum entanglement structure in quantum field theories. We introduce a novel dimensionless entanglement density function $\mathcal{E}(R)$ and compute it explicitly for both free massive scalar fields and the interacting 2D Ising model. Our key findings reveal that while free theories exhibit only broad features near mass scales, interacting theories show sharp, amplified signatures—with the 2D Ising model demonstrating a pronounced peak at $mR = 1.4 \pm 0.1$. This suggests that collective effects in interacting quantum field theories enhance the visibility of mass scales in vacuum entanglement structure. The paper includes a comprehensive lattice QCD research proposal with pre-registered statistical tests to empirically probe hadron Compton scales, providing a concrete pathway for experimental verification. This work bridges quantum information theory with high-energy physics, offering new tools to detect mass generation mechanisms through entanglement observables.
