Ontology as Compiler: QFI, Compilation, and a Bytecode of Law
We elaborate and formalize a compilation pipeline in which legal corpora aretranslated into a typed, graded, and contract-indexed bytecode whose denotation is afinite-state quotient flow with Quotient Flow Information (QFI) as invariant substrate. The expansion introduces: (i) a full syntax and typing discipline for a Legal BytecodeVirtual Machine (LBVM) with graded effects; (ii) small-step and denotational semanticswith an explicit idiom-compiler functor; (iii) preservation and reflection theorems(safety, reachability, spectral/LDP telemetry) with gap-damped bounds; (iv) executableinstrumentation—action-aware betweenness, Murphy horizons, and QFI curvatureoverlays—including algorithms and complexity; (v) a Right-To-Erasure (RTE) casestudy with budgets, falsifiers, and ablations; and (vi) an interpreter sketch with compile-time σ-contracts that guarantee closure under composition. Throughout, translation ispolicy, and policy compiles to flows whose invariants are measurable and auditable atfinite time.
