Causality as an Observer-Dependent Emergent Property of Spacetime–Information Coupling

This work advances a single-world interpretation of quantum phenomena in which causality, coherence, and measurement arise as emergent features of the continuous coupling between quantized energy and spacetime geometry. A photon—or any quantum excitation—is conceived not as a persistent object within spacetime, but as a process existing beyond it, in a non-spatiotemporal informational domain where causal order is undefined. Its energy nonetheless remains coupled to the spacetime manifold, generating minute wave-like perturbations—vibrations of the spacetime mesh—that encode the informational content of its quantum state. Observation corresponds to the re-embedding of that informational state into a definite geometric configuration, locally restoring causal order and producing what is conventionally interpreted as wavefunction collapse. Causality thus becomes observer-dependent and locally emergent, rather than globally absolute. This formulation preserves unitarity and general covariance, eliminates the ontological excesses of many-worlds interpretations, and establishes a continuous information–geometric bridge between quantum theory and gravity, offering a natural pathway toward low-energy manifestations of quantum-gravitational effects.
