Design of E Band Wideband Vialess Vertical Transition Based on BPNN Method

This article proposes a method for rapidly optimizing the electromagnetic coupling structure of a multi-mode resonator (MMR) based on multi-layer LCP technology using backpropagation neural network (BPNN). This method establishes a mapping relationship between sensitive parameters (slot length, slot width, and operating frequency) and the return loss of microstrip line structures. Effectively used as a circuit simulation tool to predict the S<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">11</inf> curve corresponding to any given set of structural parameters. The accuracy of the established mapping is verified using full wave electromagnetic simulation results. The proposed method can be used to quickly predict the performance of devices in the early stages of the design process. In addition, the generated electromagnetic modeling database can serve as a basis for further size optimization.
