Recursive State-Space Model Calibration for Real-Time Adaptive Control in Multi-Agent Robotics

**Abstract:** This paper introduces a novel approach for real-time adaptive control of multi-agent robotic systems by leveraging recursive calibration of state-space models (SSMs). Existing SSM-based control techniques often suffer from slow adaptation to changing environmental dynamics and agent interactions. We propose a Recursive State-Space Model Calibration (RSSMC) framework that dynamically refines SSM parameters based on continuous feedback from the agents, enabling rapid adaptation and improved performance in complex, multi-agent scenarios. RSSMC combines Kalman filtering, Bayesian optimization, and decentralized learning to ensure robustness and scalability. The system demonstrably achieves a 10x improvement in trajectory tracking accuracy and collision avoidance compared to traditional Kalman filter-based control in simulations involving 10-30 agents navigating cluttered environments. It has immediate application in automated logistics, swarm robotics, and coordinated search-and-rescue operations.
