Al-Nassafi and his Choices Contrary to the two Companions of Abu Hanifa In the Witr Prayer, and What is Better in the Night Prayer is Four, or Two by Two.
The work in it was the clarification of the disagreement of Al Imam Al-Nassafi - may Allah Almighty have mercy on him - with the two companions of Abu Hanifa - may Allah have mercy on him, and they are the two Imams Abu Yusuf and Imam Muhammad bin Al-Hassan Al-Sheibani - may Allah have mercy on them - and the disagreement between them was a difference of diversity and not a difference of antagonism, as they differed in many issues, and it was among their differences they differed in two important issues in the field of worship, which are:- Ruling on the Witr prayer.- The best in the night prayer is whether it is two by two or four, and the study has concluded that the Witr prayer is Sunnah and desirable and not obligatory. This is the saying of the majority of scholars, and those who say that it is obligatory have their evidence, and their saying is respected. Likewise, it is better to pray the night two by two, because this is the most of what the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did. We ask Almighty Allah to grant us understanding in His religion and to grant us sincerity in word and deed.
