Zwischen Banalität und Bildgewalt: Modebilder als Inspiration junger Künstlerinnen auf Social Media
In the age of fast fashion and short-lived micro-trends, fashion is becoming increasingly trivialized. Instead of the it-piece itself, it rather is the staging of fashion that arouses interest (cf. wittich 2006). While digital fashion simulta- neously questions the physical dimension of clothing, materialities and nat- ural elements in the form of fruits, shells or foliage, are creating a new focus. These artistic experiments, which primarily take place on social media, reflect a social change: away from consumption and towards experience culture, and encourage a critical examination of modern fashion practices.
