Safety Through Visibility: Tracing Hydrogen in Colors with Highly Customizable and Flexibly Applicable Supraparticle Additives (Adv. Mater. Technol. 17/2024)
Hydrogen Leak Detection In article number 2400441, Karl Mandel and co-workers demonstrate visual hydrogen leak detection using a flexibly applicable powder additive based on micrometer-sized supraparticles. When exposed to hydrogen gas, these supraparticles undergo a pronounced color change that is easily visible to the naked eye within seconds. The color change can be freely customized by supraparticle engineering via spray-drying.
