Large Area Ballistocardiography Enabled by Printed Piezoelectric Sensor Arrays on Elastomeric Substrates (Adv. Mater. Technol. 17/2024)
Large Area Ballistocardiography In article number 2400228, Peter Zalar, Edsger C. P. Smits, and co-workers present printed piezoelectric sensors on plastic and rubber. Through the printing process different arrays of sensors are realized. Enhanced sensitivity of the sensor is observed on rubber substrates. These sensors are used to detect minute forces generated by blood flow enabling contactless heartrate monitoring.
