Challenges and Prospects of Questionnaire Administration in Contemporary Research
This article explores the growing challenge of respondent reluctance in questionnaire-based research, a problem that affects both paper and online surveys. Although questionnaires remain one of the most common tools for collecting data in social science and management studies, researchers often struggle with low response rates caused by factors such as participant disinterest, lack of trust, and time constraints. The paper examines these barriers and discusses practical strategies for improving participation and data reliability. It emphasizes the importance of ethical research practices, user-friendly design, transparent incentive systems, and increased public awareness of research benefits. Ultimately, the article highlights how strengthening engagement in questionnaire research can enhance the overall quality, credibility, and societal relevance of scientific investigations.
