28. பழநதமழரன நர அறவயல
In Thiruvalluvar's description of the earth as a fortress, water, known as Mani Neer, takes the first place. In the structure of Neer Aran, Nilavaran, Malayayaran, and Kataran, water has the first place of importance. Therefore, the ancient Tamils accepted that nature was superior to them and preserved and protected the natural state of nature. They did not try to conquer and dominate the naturally rich water and land. They lived by protecting the soil and water resources. Moreover, as experts in water science, they knew the need for water and protected it.
