Throughout his entire military career, Shivgonda Mahar played a significant and appropriate role in protecting the fortresses, fighting with the Mughal army and supporting Chhatrapati, showing the power of the battlefield and administrative ability. In addition to his military contribution, he has offered the whole life in the history of the Marathas to enhance the efficient administration of social justice, welfare and regions. Despite the relatively absent from the mainstream historical stories, the heritage of Shivgonda Mahar remains in regional history, cultural memory and oral tradition. Which inspires the next generations in the history of the Mahar soldiers and the Marathas. This paper has made a sincere effort to restructure their lives and performances, emphasizes the important role of loyal warriors in maintaining the Maratha Empire, and highlights the challenges of documenting regional warriors in historical research.
