A Broadband Hybrid Absorber Based on Resistive Film and Plasmonic Structure
In the field of wave absorption, the application of electromagnetic metamaterials is of paramount importance, as structures with a single absorption mechanism can no longer meet the requirements for low-frequency band absorption. We present a new three-dimensional (3-D) metamaterial absorber with an extremely wide absorptive band. It combines vertical resistive film and spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) to achieve ultra-wide absorptive band. Under normal incidence, the simulated results show that this structure can achieve more than 90% absorption in the range of 0.68–51.78 GHz. Because the structure maintains center symmetry, it also has polarization stability.
