EVALUATION OF SHOTHAGHNA EFFECT OF KOLADI UPANAHA SWEDA VSKOLADI SANKARA SWEDA IN JANU SANDHIGATA VATA WITH SPECIALREFERENCE TO KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS

This study investigates the comparative efficacy of two Ayurvedic treatments, Koladi Upanaha Sweda and Koladi Sankara Sweda, in managing symptoms of Janu Sandhigata Vata, particularly Shotha. The research highlights the increasing prevalence of osteoarthritis in India, particularly among the ageing population, and the need for effective, non-invasive treatment options. The findings suggest that both treatments significantly reduce pain and swelling associated with knee osteoarthritis, with Koladi Sankara Sweda demonstrating superior efficacy in pain reduction.
