The Dry River of Shiraz is one of the city’s significant natural and environmental assets, offering high potential for urban ecotourism development and sustainable revitalization. This study aims to analyze the potentials of revitalizing the Dry River as an urban wetland and to examine the role of sustainable architecture in enhancing ecological quality and ecotourism. The research method is qualitative, based on documentary and field studies, focusing on sustainable architectural indicators as well as the environmental and social characteristics of the river. Findings reveal that revitalization of this river, in addition to improving ecological conditions, can play a key role in increasing social interactions, attracting tourism, and creating economic opportunities for local citizens. Moreover, the integration of sustainable architectural approaches and proper landscape design along the river can preserve natural values and enhance the quality of life in the area. This study emphasizes the necessity of integrating architectural, environmental, and sustainable development perspectives, and it provides guidance for policymakers and urban planners in line with the objectives of the second step of the Islamic Revolution.
