Romolini R. & Soca R., 2024. Nuovi ibridi di Ophrys della Toscana (Italia). J. Eur. Orch. 56(2-4): 168-192.
The authors have traveled throughout the Tuscan region for over thirty years, researching and studying the species of the genus Ophrys and their hybrids. Many of these had been known and monitored for several years. Nine hybrids found in six Tuscan provinces from sea level to the inland hills and on the island of Elba however were not yet formally named and are now described in this article. Two with Ophrys speculum as one parent are very rare, since the presence of it is only punctiform in the Tuscan territory. Three of the new hybrids are dedicated to deceased friends. Orchidaceae, Ophrys appennina, Ophrys argentaria, Ophrys classica, Ophrys crabronifera, Ophrysmaritima, Ophrys minipassionis, Ophrys montis-leonis, Ophrys passionis, Ophrys speculum, Ophrystarquinia, Ophrys ×velathrii, Ophrys ×sterzae, Ophrys ×tarocchii, Ophrys ×franginii, Ophrys ×gabellae, Ophrys ×calviensis, Ophrys ×orestei, Ophrys ×barsellae, Ophrys ×mugnonensis; Flora of Tuscany, Italy.
