Gamma Ray Burst signatures linked to ∆14C Anomalies
Radiocarbon anomalies in the ∆14C record have traditionally been interpreted through solar, geomagnetic, or terrestrial processes. However, a subset of high-amplitude excursions—particularly those between 44,000 and 30,000 years BP—remain unresolved. This paper proposes that these spikes result from long gamma-ray bursts (L-GRBs) originating from solitary Wolf-Rayet hypernovae. Unlike isotropic sources, GRBs emit narrow, high-fluence beams that produce hemispherically confined, regional impacts and asymmetric 14C signatures.
