The Aero‑PMM Framework — A Unified Ground‑and‑Sky Architecture for Quantifiable Environmental Positive Impact in Aviation (Zenodo Draft v2.0) — Concept/Theoretical (TT)

We present Aero‑PMM, a unified, safety‑first architecture that couples ground‑phase particle mitigation with a pragmatic Sky‑Mode for climate‑positive operations. On the ground, a three‑module stack—Landing‑Gear Hub Purifier, APU Exhaust Polisher, and Gate‑Hood/Tow‑Cart Capture—targets nvPM and brake/tyre wear with sealed PCore‑Aero cartridges and low‑energy ESP‑Lite, while deterrent‑optics (anti‑polarization matte + mid‑frequency “zebra” striping) reduce wildlife interactions near the gear covers. In the air, we keep filtration out of the jet plume for safety and instead combine: (i) contrail‑avoidance route/altitude nudges, (ii) SAF‑forward fueling to reduce nvPM and contrail ice‑seeds, (iii) optional on‑board recirculation cassettes using PMM composites for cabin microplastic control, and (iv) IAGOS‑style atmospheric sensing that turns flights into open data contributors. A single MRV‑as‑a‑Service dashboard tracks KPIs across ground and sky (ΔP↔Q, OPC bins, brake‑cooling ΔT, nvPM at gate, contrail‑kilometers avoided, SAF uplift, microplastic capture, and sensing yields). We outline a TRL path (CFD/rigs → taxi A/B → apron pilots) and Safety/Compliance framing (no live release; back‑pressure/thermal envelopes; airport SOP integration). The result is a coherent path for airports and airlines to shift from “less harm” to measurable environmental benefit.
