Hydrometallurgical Processing of Arsenic-containing Polymetallic Sublimats from Copper Smelting

The aim of the work is to determine the optimal parameters for extracting target components into the process solution. The need for such studies is associated with a high arsenic content in sublimates of non-ferrous metallurgy enterprises, which require special conditions for the disposal of such waste. The studies were conducted on polymetallic sublimates of Balkhashpolimetall LLP. During the studies, optimal conditions for leaching polymetallic sublimates with sulfuric acid were determined. Hydrometallurgical processing of the dust fraction with a size class of (-0.16 mm) showed the maximum extraction of zinc 82% and copper 39% with a mass flow rate of acid to the total mass of the main components equal to Pb Zn Cu As , . Abstract

H SO 1 2 2 4 + + + = The dependences of metal extraction on the concentration of sulfuric acid, temperature and duration of metal leaching into the solution were obtained
