\title{The Temporal Field $\tau$: A Unified Framework for General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics}

\begin{abstract} We introduce the temporal scalar field $\tau(x)$ as a fundamental mediator unifying general relativity and quantum mechanics. Within this framework, the dynamics of $\tau$ generate both spacetime curvature, reproducing gravitational phenomena, and quantum behavior, by modifying effective masses and operators. The proposed unified Lagrangian links Einstein’s equations with a $\tau$-dependent Schrödinger dynamics, offering a single scalar foundation for gravity and quantum physics. Key predictions include: \begin{itemize} \item A natural resolution of the \textbf{Hubble tension} through local vs global expansion rates. \item \textbf{Spectral shifts} in atomic and molecular energy levels beyond standard quantum electrodynamics. \item Modified \textbf{gravitational redshift} and time dilation due to $\tau$-dependent metrics. \item Galactic rotation explained without invoking exotic dark matter, emerging instead from spatial gradients of $\tau$. \item The possible existence of new excitations (quanta of $\tau$) as yet-undiscovered particles. \end{itemize} This work establishes the temporal field $\tau$ as a universal element of nature, bridging the gap between relativity and quantum theory while offering testable predictions for cosmology, astrophysics, and particle physics. \end{abstract}

Abstract

\begin{abstract} We introduce the temporal scalar field $\tau(x)$ as a fundamental mediator unifying general relativity and quantum mechanics. Within this framework, the dynamics of $\tau$ generate both spacetime curvature, reproducing gravitational phenomena, and quantum behavior, by modifying effective masses and operators. The proposed unified Lagrangian links Einstein’s equations with a $\tau$-dependent Schrödinger dynamics, offering a single scalar foundation for gravity and quantum physics. Key predictions include: \begin{itemize} \item A natural resolution of the \textbf{Hubble tension} through local vs global expansion rates. \item \textbf{Spectral shifts} in atomic and molecular energy levels beyond standard quantum electrodynamics. \item Modified \textbf{gravitational redshift} and time dilation due to $\tau$-dependent metrics. \item Galactic rotation explained without invoking exotic dark matter, emerging instead from spatial gradients of $\tau$. \item The possible existence of new excitations (quanta of $\tau$) as yet-undiscovered particles. \end{itemize} This work establishes the temporal field $\tau$ as a universal element of nature, bridging the gap between relativity and quantum theory while offering testable predictions for cosmology, astrophysics, and particle physics. \end{abstract}
