Cosmological Redshift and the CMB in a Structured Space Framework
We present an alternative interpretation of cosmological redshift and the cosmic microwave background (CMB) based on divergence–convergence dynamics. In this framework, convergence underlies gravity and the formation of mass, while divergence drives the outward stretching of radiation. Redshift arises as a path-integrated effect of divergence rather than as a consequence of metric expansion, and the CMB is reinterpreted as the present-day equilibrium background of radiation that has stretched into the microwave band. The model reproduces the Hubble law at low redshift but predicts distinctive deviations: anisotropic values of the inferred Hubble constant, correlations of residuals with line-of-sight structure, and a cubic Tolman surface-brightness law. These features provide falsifiable criteria, establishing a testable alternative to the standard cosmological paradigm.
