Enhanced Sequence Forecasting with Adaptive Temporal Attention and Hierarchical RNN Architectures (ETHARA)
**Abstract:** This paper presents Enhanced Sequence Forecasting with Adaptive Temporal Attention and Hierarchical RNN Architectures (ETHARA), a novel approach to sequence forecasting that significantly improves accuracy and efficiency over existing recurrent neural network models. ETHARA combines a hierarchical recurrent neural network (HRNN) structure for long-term dependency capture with an adaptive temporal attention mechanism that dynamically weights relevant input features based on their temporal context. The system's core innovation lies in its ability to learn and adapt to non-stationary time series data, delivering superior performance in forecasting energy demand, financial markets, and climate patterns. Commercially, ETHARA offers a 15-20% increase in forecast accuracy compared to state-of-the-art time series models, translating to significant cost savings and improved operational efficiency across various industries.
