TO THE MONITORING OF EPIPHYTIC LICHEN BIOTA OF REFERENCE AND BIOLOGICALLY VALUABLE FORESTS OF THE BRYANSK REGION
The lichenological information was summarized during the survey of biologically valuable forest communities of the Bryansk region for 2017-2024. The purpose of the research is to assess the current distribution, confinement to habitats of macrolichens of the genus Bryoria Brodo et D. Hawksw. and Usnea Dill. ex Adans. in the Bryansk region as a basis for monitoring studies and the use of a number of species as bioindicators. For the first time, the sozological index of species was calculated. The paper presents information on 14 locations and features of biotope colonization in forests of various communities for 8 species of the Parmeliaceae family. For the first time, the following species are indicated for clusters of standard and biologically valuable forests: Bryoria nadvornikiana (Gyeln.) Brodo & D. Hawksw., B. vrangiana (Gyeln.) Brodo & D. Hawksw., B. kuemmerliana (Gyeln.) Brodo & D. Hawksw. Usnea longissima Ach. The sozological index for species varies from 85 to 105: from 105 to 90 points – threatened species: B. nadvornikiana, B. kuemmerliana, B. vrangiana, U. dasopoga, U. longissima; rare species – 75–89 points – very rare: B. fuscescens (Gyeln.) Brodo & D. Hawksw., B. capillaris (Ach.) Brodo & D. Hawksw., Usnea subfloridana Stirt. For the protected areas of the Bryansk region and forest communities with the identified species, the feasibility of state protection, the effectiveness of measures to conserve rare species, and the presence of unique biotopes of the EUNIS system of forests of high conservation value have been documented and actually confirmed. The presence of rare and interesting lichen species in the ecological and biological aspects in the habitats indicates a significant age of forest plantations, low anthropogenic load, favorable, close to optimal, conditions of ecotopes.
