Overview of the critical components of the TrP network and relevant resources for TrCs and TrP Node members
The ELIXIR TrP is a coordinated network that enhances bioinformatics training across Europe andbeyond by providing strategic infrastructure, tools, and best practices aligned with FAIR and OpenScience principles. This internal document outlines the core components that support collaboration, visibility, and alignment within the TrP, serving as a reference for TrCs and TrP members. Central to the TrP’s success is its structured management model, which includes clearlydefined roles for TrCs, TrP members, and coordinating bodies. These roles support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality training, while fostering communication across ELIXIRNodes, Communities, and external stakeholders. TrP members contribute to the development of national and ELIXIR-wide training strategiesand are encouraged to engage in collaborative efforts, promote knowledge sharing, and align withevolving regulatory frameworks. Building and sustaining strong networks both within and beyondELIXIR is critical for expanding training capacity and securing long-term impact. The critical toolsand resources that support this mission are all mentioned. The TrP will continue to strengthen its foundation with upcoming resources, includingStandard Operating Procedures for TrCs and Terms of Reference for the TrP, due in 2026. These willhelp formalize processes and support consistent engagement across the network. The ongoing goalis to empower training capacity across ELIXIR Communities and ensure a sustainable, high-qualitytraining ecosystem.
