Advanced Silicon Carbide (SiC) Vertex Detector Arrays for High-Luminosity LHC Upgrades

**Abstract:** This research proposes a novel approach to vertex detector construction leveraging advanced Silicon Carbide (SiC) materials and a modular, tiled array architecture for the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) upgrades. SiC's superior radiation hardness, thermal conductivity and electron mobility compared to traditional silicon significantly mitigate performance degradation in the high-flux HL-LHC environment. This architecture combines a commercial hyper-dimensional data processing module for real-time data acquisition and analysis within the detector itself, offering unprecedented spatial resolution and tracking efficiency for precision measurements of displaced vertex signatures critical for Higgs boson decay studies and beyond. The resulting system is evaluated through Monte Carlo simulations and prototype experiments, demonstrating a potential for 10x improvement in vertex reconstruction accuracy and 5x increase in tracking efficiency compared to current silicon vertex detectors.
