Quantum Reflection as Temporal Folding: A Novel View on Wave-Particle Duality"
This paper introduces a novel interpretation of quantum reflection based on temporal field dynamics. We propose that quantum waves interacting with sharp potential barriers undergo a compression in their internal temporal frequency, resulting in a geometric inversion of their nucleus relative to the direction of motion. This inversion, observable as quantum reflection or tunneling behavior, suggests that the particle’s temporal structure—not its spatial one—determines the probability of crossing or reflecting at a barrier. Numerical analysis supports that thinner and steeper barriers induce stronger temporal compression, leading to higher reflection probability. This perspective offers a unified temporal-geometric framework that bridges wave-particle duality with internal time dynamics, potentially opening new avenues for quantum gravity and information theories.
