Interference current suppression strategy for traction systems based on feedforward indirect stator-quantities control
During the operation of rail vehicles, deteriorative interference currents can disrupt the track signal system and communication equipment along the railway, potentially affecting the safe operation of trains. This paper proposes a strategy for suppressing track interference currents based on fluctuations in energy on the intermediate DC-link, using feedforward indirect stator-quantities control (ISC) to ensure the safe operation of signal system equipment. Due to the fast torque response for the fluctuation of noise on the intermediate DC-link, the interference current amplitudes can be suppressed effectively. This control strategy can lower interference current harmonics to levels below the standard limit values, thereby ensuring compliance with the complex and diverse requirements of signal systems and trackside equipment.
