The Necessity of Affirming LGBT Rights through a New Philosophical Approach
Debates on LGBT rights are often framed in terms of ethical tolerance or the advancement of human-rights awareness. Departing from such moral or sentimental bases, this paper argues—via a new philosophical approach centered on the notion of relational existence—that affirming LGBT rights is a structural necessity for society. I show that denialism entails a logical self-contradiction: to negate LGBT persons as “others” undermines the denier’s own existence as an object for others, collapsing into self-negation. The paper sketches the theoretical foundations, articulates the paradox of denial, and clarifies the implications for social stability and policy .
