Research on LKJ-15C Intelligent Perception Technology for Train Operation Routes Based on BeiDou Differential Positioning and Computer Interlocking

In the presence of branch tracks or sidings ahead, the Train Operation Monitoring Equipment (LKJ) functions by searching for route data based on the number of these tracks. This route data is then used in calculations to yield braking curves necessary for controlling locomotive operation. The existing LKJ requires drivers to manually enter these track numbers, which can lead to entry omissions and input errors, resulting in potential risks such as overspeeding and signal overruns. To address this deficiency, this paper proposes an automatic LKJ-15C train route recognition technology based on an interlocking system and BeiDou positioning data. This approach leverages BeiDou positioning to determine train positions and integrates interlocking data related to stations to automatically recognize train routes ahead. Results from simulations and track experiments showed that the proposed system achieved a train positioning accuracy of less than 1 meter and an automatic route recognition accuracy of up to 97.3%. These results demonstrate improvements in both the accuracy and practicability of this system that can effectively prevent risks associated with manual entry, ensuring safer and more efficient train operation.
