Standard Japanese names of genera in the subfamily Pteroinae (Scorpaenidae)

Recent phylogenetic research have reconstructed generic systematics of the subfamily Pteroinae (Scorpaenidae). We proposed new standard Japanese names for Nemapterois Fowler, 1938 (Hireboshiminokasago-zoku), Neochirus Chou, Liu and Liao, 2023 (Shimahimeyamanokami-zoku) and Pteropterus Swainson, 1839 (Kimiokoze-zoku).
