is text starts from the refusal to consider the identity of cultures as the presence of an immediate, substantial and exclusive datum in which the natural order of things is reflected; on the contrary, it intends to insist on the relational dimension that constitutes each culture as a ‘symbolic space’, made possible by the intervention of human beings, whose unpredictable actions that cannot be integrally deduced from the existing state of affairs give substance to ‘freedom’, recognizing in the latter the typically human capacity to do something new on one’s own initiative. e very idea of interculturality presupposes, therefore, the choice for an anthropology of freedom in its opposition to an anthropology of order.
