Design of Operational Scenarios for the Train Control System of Dynamic Formations Based on Train Autonomous Operation
As urban rail transit networks expand and passenger flow increases, a spatial-temporal imbalance in the distribution of passenger trips becomes evident. To address the declining effectiveness of train operation organization using the traditional fixed formation method, this paper proposes an approach for designing operational scenarios for the train control system of dynamic formations based on train autonomous operation. Specifically, it introduces five new and 18 revised scenarios for dynamic formations based on the full automatic operation (FAO). It elaborates on three general operational scenarios for the train control system of dynamic formations through virtual and mechanical coupling: formation coupling, formation operation, and formation decoupling. Additionally, it outlines the requirements for system functions, laying a foundation for subsequent studies on system requirements and architectural design.
