Distributed direct position determination based on local cost function
Direct position determination is the primary method for achieving high-precision positioning of radiation sources. A distributed direct position determination based on local cost function is proposed, for satellite-based three-dimensional localization of both ground and airborne radiation sources. By utilizing inter-satellites data exchanging, a local cost function grounded in distributed array processing is constructed. The three-dimensional position information of target is obtained through scanning across different altitude planes. Compared to traditional centralized direct position determination, this method significantly reduces the communication and computational burdens. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively estimate the three-dimensional position of the target. In scenarios with clock synchronization errors, it exhibits superior resolution capability and estimation accuracy over traditional centralized direct position determination.
