Pseudo-Random High-Frequency Square-Wave Voltage Injection Based Sensorless Control of DTP-IPMSM Drives
When employing high-frequency (HF) voltage signal injection for sensorless control of dual three-phase interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (DTP-IPMSM) under zero- and low-speed conditions, HF audible noise is generated. To address this issue, a pseudo-random HF square-wave voltage injection based sensorless control of DTP-IPMSM is presented in this paper. The vector space decomposition (VSD) is adopted to reduce the impact of inter-winding mutual inductance coupling on motor control. By randomly combining two HF voltage signals of different frequencies and injecting them into the two sets of three-phase stator windings of the motor, the presented method achieves sensorless control of DTP-IPMSM while reducing HF noise. Finally, the validity of the presented method is verified by experiment on a 3.0-kW DTP-IPMSM drive platform.
