A novel deployment planning method for air-to-ground communication relay UAVs
This article focuses on the relay deployment problem of using fixed-wing UAVs to assist in communication between UAV swarm and ground base stations(GBS). First, the air-to-air channel and air-to-ground channel are modeled; then, the relay deployment planning problem is modeled and analyzed in two application scenarios: full-time relay coverage deployment and relay coverage deployment with time windows. On this basis, considering the number of deployed UAVs, communication constraints, the location of swarm task points, and time sequence, a CBBA-based air-to-ground communication relay UAV deployment planning method is proposed. Finally, simulation experiments of typical scenarios are conducted to prove the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
