Research on Model Parameter Identification and Life Optimization of Fuel Cell Hybrid System

As the global energy crisis and environmental pollution issues become increasingly severe, new energy vehicles have emerged as a key direction for the future development of the automotive industry. This paper primarily investigates the energy management strategy (EMS) for a fuel cell and lithiumion battery hybrid power system, proposing a method to reduce system cost and optimize lifespan, integrating model parameter identification and Pontryagin’s minimum principle (PMP). First, the fuel cell and battery are modeled, and the recursive least squares method is used to accurately identify the key parameters of the model to ensure its effectiveness. Then, based on the Minimum Principle, an energy management strategy is designed, considering the extension of system lifespan. The strategy aims to balance the energy flow, reduce the overall system loss, and extend the lifespan of each component. Experimental verification under different operating conditions shows that the proposed method can improve the efficiency of the fuel cell hybrid vehicle and optimize its long-term use benefits while ensuring vehicle performance.
