Output Feedback Receding Horizon Control for Networked Control Systems with Packet Losses

This paper is concerned with output feedback receding horizon control (RHC) for the discrete-time networked control systems subject to packet losses. For the incomplete feasibility of the state for the controller, the optimal state estimator is designed under the circumstance of packet loss. Based on this estimator, we derive the estimation-type RHC-based controller by introducing a new cost function. The sufficient output feedback RHC-based stabilization condition is given in term of two coupled matrix inequalities. Finally, the efficiency of the algorithm is verified by a numerical example.

Abstract

This paper is concerned with output feedback receding horizon control (RHC) for the discrete-time networked control systems subject to packet losses. For the incomplete feasibility of the state for the controller, the optimal state estimator is designed under the circumstance of packet loss. Based on this estimator, we derive the estimation-type RHC-based controller by introducing a new cost function. The sufficient output feedback RHC-based stabilization condition is given in term of two coupled matrix inequalities. Finally, the efficiency of the algorithm is verified by a numerical example.
