Research on the Rapid Flatness Inspection Method for Satellite Equipment Based on Limited Point Cloud Data

The accurate inspection of the flatness of mounting surfaces for satellite unit equipment is crucial to the final quality and performance of satellites. Traditional methods for inspecting the flatness of these mounting surfaces rely on manual measurements using tools such as feeler gauges. However, these methods can only detect edge warping on equipment and struggle to measure flatness in cases of central bulging or other deformations. Additionally, the measurement results lack quantification, and the process itself is inefficient. This paper proposes a measurement method based on a limited number of laser displacement sensors, where multiple measurements are used to enhance the point cloud. A point cloud correction method based on spatial transformation is developed, and the flatness of the satellite equipment installation surface is calculated using the least squares method. The experiment shows that the maximum deviation of the measured value is 0.04mm, which meets the accuracy requirements and realizes the rapid and accurate measurement of the flatness of the single satellite equipment. As the basic technology of satellite automation production line construction, it has important application value.
