Segmentation Techniques for High Penetration Distributed Photovoltaic Power Clusters

In this paper, for the specific impact of distributed photovoltaic (PV) systems accessing the distribution network in the form of cluster division, a detailed comparative analysis of the existing distribution network voltage trend calculation methods is carried out to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of these methods, and then a more suitable circuit parameter is selected to improve the accuracy of the existing voltage calculation. A new distribution network optimization algorithm, the CS-PSO algorithm, is proposed. Firstly, this paper introduces that the algorithm is developed based on the traditional cuckoo algorithm, which adopts a two-layer model structure, sets the control objectives as the two key indexes of voltage and network loss, and takes the reactive power and active power of each node as the controllable variables. This design not only takes into account the current state of the grid, but also predicts possible future trends, thus making the algorithm more adaptable and forward-looking. Then, the algorithm is validated and verified by actual operation data, and the results show that the algorithm has significant advantages in reducing the network loss of the distribution network compared with the traditional calculation methods.
