Methodology for Determining the Electrophysical Properties of Pipes Made of Structural Steel for Skin Systems

The article is devoted to the development of a method for determining the electrophysical properties of structural steel pipes used in skin systems for induction heating of long oil pipelines. The main attention is paid to the experimental study of the magnetic characteristics of steel samples using the oscillographic method. The design of a ferrograph is described, which allows recording hysteresis loops and measuring the dependences of the magnetic field strength (H) and magnetic induction (B). Based on the obtained data, the main magnetization curves are constructed, specific hysteresis losses and their dependence on the field amplitude are determined. It is shown that the proposed method eliminates the limitations of existing approaches that do not take into account the real shape of the hysteresis loop. The results are confirmed by modeling in the environment of structural and simulation modeling and demonstrate the applicability of the method for the analysis of ferromagnetic steels.
