ESG – APPROACHES IN THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY: INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PROSPECTS FOR UZBEKISTAN

The paper examines the application of ESG approaches in the insurance industry and assesses the prospects for their application in Uzbekistan. Using the example of Japan, the EU, and South Korea, the paper shows how the implementation of ESG affects investment policy, customer trust, and the stability of the financial market. The author notes that the insurance market in Uzbekistan is growing, but its contribution to the economy remains limited. It is concluded that the insurance sector can become a platform for the implementation of ESG products, and the key areas of development include parametric insurance, the formation of green investment portfolios, and the development of ESG reporting standards.
