Research of Commercial Aircraft ECG/PPG Biorhythm Control Dynamic Cabin Light System Architecture

In the field of commercial aircraft, 78% of long-haul travelers believe that the cabin directly affects the travel experience, and lighting is a key factor. There are inherent limitations in cabin lighting, such as the inability to adjust the static spectrum and single function, and it is impossible to adjust the requirements of biological rhythm across time zones. This paper discusses the influence mechanism of illumination and biological rhythm, and proposes a dynamic cabin lighting system architecture design based on ECG/PPG biological rhythm control, which includes physiological signal acquisition layer; Data processing and layers; Biological Rhythm Decision Engine; Lighting execution and feedback layer, through real-time collection of passenger ECG and PPG signals, combined with parameters and information, dynamically regulates the cabin lighting system to form a closed-loop control of "perception-decision-execution", dynamic cabin lighting parameters, to optimize passenger comfort and health status. The future trend of cabin lighting and possible challenges are also prospected.
