Identification of Optimal Electrical Parameters of Units of Modular Quasi-Resonant DC Voltage Converters

The article discusses the features of identifying the optimal circuitry of multimodule or multichannel DC voltage converters used both as an integral element of power supply systems, energy storage, and as independent matching electrotechnical units. The criteria for selecting the parameters of a high-frequency transformer are given. The limits of the transition to a modular design are defined. An example of calculating an electromagnetic unit at different tolerances of the overheating temperature and the inductance of the magnetizing winding is presented. The results of simulation modeling of a three-module voltage converter with regulation based on the principle of intermittent power supply and phase shift of control pulses proportional to the number of synchronously operating modules are presented. Families of diagrams have been obtained explaining the peculiarities of the converter's operation with deep regulation of the output voltage and a wide range of load values. Recommendations on the designing of modular quasi-resonant converters (QVDC) and the evaluation of the QVDC unit's parameters are formulated.
