Predefined-Time Attitude Consensus Control for Multi-Spacecraft Systems with Asymmetric State Constraints

This paper discusses the predefined-time leader-following attitude consensus control problem for multi-spacecraft systems with asymmetric state constraints. Based on the backstepping control framework, a predefine-time control protocol is presented, where a predefined-time filter is designed to overcome the issue of repetitive differentiations in virtual control law. Then, the introduction of an innovative asymmetric fractional barrier Lyapunov function ensures that asymmetric state constraints are satisfied while mitigating the issue of disproportionately high control amplitudes, which is a common drawback of conventional logarithmic barrier Lyapunov functions with large constraint boundaries. As a result, the proposed approach is versatile enough to handle scenarios with or without constraints. By applying the Lyapunov stability method, it is proven that the predefined-time stability of the closed-loop system can be guaranteed. Finally, a simulation example demonstrate that the proposed control strategy is effective.
