The pedagogical legacy of christian goldbach
The article examines the main pedagogical ideas of Christian Goldbach, an outstanding mathematician of the XVIII century. His ideas aimed at developing independent thinking and an analytical approach remain insufficiently studied in modern education. Goldbach believed that learning should be focused on cognition rather than rote memorization, and actively involved students in the learning process through discussion, problem solving, and research. He emphasized an individual approach and the importance of interdisciplinary learning, as well as the role of a mentor and personal example. Goldbach believed that education should foster moral qualities and promote self-improvement through reflection. His ideas continue to influence modern educational systems.
